There are no sand bunkers on this course, but water hazards come into play on ten holes. The greens are medium-sized, undulating and medium paced.
Estrella Mountain Ranch Golf Club. Jack Nicklaus II designed this 18 hole daily-fee championship course that stretches over 7,100 yards. Players of all abilities will be challenged, with every hole offering multiple tees to accommodate junior through championship levels.
This eighteen hole course is a desert style layout on the front nine and traditional in design on the back nine. The greens, which are very well maintained, are medium in size with little break. This course is considered very user-friendly. The fairways are wide open, and water comes into play on two holes. The signature hole is #15, a 225-yard, par 3, featuring a water hazard on the right side of the green and bunkers on the front right and left.

The search for the famous Lost Dutchman's Gold, hidden in the Superstition Mountains, has proven elusive for over a century. Another hidden treasure, Viewpoint Golf Resort, is more easily found in Mesa, Arizona. Here you'll find 27 holes of relaxing, traditional golf on gently rolling fairways landscaped with pines and poplars, cool streams and lakes, and perfectly manicured greens.
This traditional design course has fairly tight fairways. There is water that comes into play on about six holes. Many of the greens are elevated. The signature hole is #18, a 390-yard, par 4, featuring a dogleg right fairway.
The 18-hole "Vista Verde 1" course at the Vista Verde Golf Course facility in Rio Verde, Arizona features 7,219 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Kenneth M. Kavanaugh, ASGCA, the Vista Verde 1 golf course opened in 2006.

The Wigwam was given new life in the 1960's by Robert Trent Jones. Sr., America's most famous golf course architect. At more than 7,400 yards and par 72, the Gold Course anchors The Wigwam golf trio. The Gold Course, a long and winding layout, was Jones' West Coast version of the relentless South Course at Firestone.
The Red Course was created by Red Lawrence the golf course architect responsible for Arizona’s first desert golf course. His work at The Wigwam is a compliment to The Gold and Blue Courses. With a length between its two siblings and par 72, The Red plays alongside and over streams and ponds. Set among a forest of pines and eucalyptus trees, the golfer is transported through exclusive estates, which are part of The Wigwam’s rich neighborhood.
Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge - Faldo Course layout sits on a 174-acre site, and offers a slight variation from typical Sonoran Desert-theme courses. The "Faldo" offers a challenge for all levels.
